Ishaq Dar begins 3-day UK visit to enhance strategic ties

Islamabad  -  Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister, Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar arrived in the British capital London on Saturday for his first ever official three day visit— 17-19 August. 

A foreign office spokesperson in Islamabad said that during his stay in London, Ishaq Dar would meet his counterpart Deputy Prime Minister, Angela Rayner, and Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Pakistan, Hamish Falconer.

Dar would also meet Lord Wajid Khan, and Commonwealth Secretary-General, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, he maintained. 

He said that the focus of the visit is on strengthening Pakistan-UK ties, boosting cooperation in digital technology, artificial intelligence and entrepreneurship, and enhanced cooperation with the Commonwealth. 

During talks with British leaders, all aspects of bilateral ties between the two countries would be discussed and reviewed, the spokesperson added. 

British MPs, Kashmiri leaders, and representatives of Pakistani Diaspora would also call on the DPM/FM in London. 

At the Pakistan High Commission in London, the DPM/FM would inaugurate pilot project by Punjab Land Record Authority and One Window Operation by IMPASS.
