Day-long curfew imposed in South Waziristan amid security concerns

A day-long curfew was enforced in South Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday due to heightened security concerns, local authorities confirmed.

According to a notification from the district administration, the curfew remained in effect from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

The Deputy Commissioner stated that the Makeen to Razmak road was completely closed during the curfew hours. Residents were advised to avoid traveling on this route until after 6 PM.

Citizens were also urged to limit unnecessary movement and use alternate routes for their safety.
