Elected reps present proposals for new uplift schemes

PESHAWAR   -   An important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Mardan, Azmatullah Wazir, at his office. It was attended by Members of the Provincial Assembly Iftikhar Ali Mashwani, Abdul Salam Afridi, and Zarshed Khan, along with heads of various departments.

The meeting included detailed consultations regarding the budget for the fiscal year 2025–26. Elected representatives presented proposals for new development schemes based on the needs of their respective constituencies, and the inclusion of these proposals in the upcoming budget was considered. Ongoing development projects across the district were also reviewed during the session.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Finance), Syed Fahad Iftikhar, while briefing the meeting, stated that current development projects include initiatives in education, healthcare, road construction and repair, and the upgradation of educational institutions, among other public welfare programs.

He noted that the completion of these projects would provide significant facilities to the public and bring notable improvements to the development process in District Mardan.

Deputy Commissioner Mardan instructed that priority be given to the implementation of public welfare projects proposed by the elected representatives.
