VEHARI  -  The Punjab Bar Council and Professional Lawyers Forum on Saturday strongly condemned the alleged misconduct of DPO Vehari and the filing of a false FIR against senior advocates Syed Fida Hussain Mashhadi and Syed Mudasir Hussain Shah.

In protest, the Bar Council has announced a complete strike in Vehari on Monday, May 19, and demanded the DPO’s immediate transfer. At an emergency meeting chaired by Vice Chairman Imran Sadiq, the Punjab Bar Council declared FIR No. 25/319 baseless and urged the Punjab IGP to quash it, calling for a fresh FIR based on Advocate Mudasir Shah’s version of events. Separately, the Professional Lawyers Forum, led by Chairman Mian Shehzad Anjum Matro, also condemned the FIR in a meeting attended by senior lawyers, warning of broader protests if the issue remains unresolved.  The legal community termed the incident an attack on judicial independence and the dignity of the profession.
