KANDHKOT  -  Chehlum of Hazzrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his 72 companions was observed peacefully amid tight security measures throughout kashmore here on Friday. According to details, chehlam procession of Imam Hussain (RA) was observed with religious solemnity and devotion in all big and small cities, towns and villages in kashmore total 12 number of mourning processions were taken out from various parts of the city while it merged into the main procession which was passed through it’s traditional routes such as tower road , main road, bank road, library chowk finally culminated at wadesha Imambargah.Thousands of the mourners and devotees including women, children and old participated the mourning processions and gatherings. Mourners offered Namaz -e- zuhren at wadeshah imam bargha amid tight security. It was observed that extra ordinary security arrangements were made by police and Rangers on the routes of mourning procession whereas all roads, streets were completely sealed for all kind of traffic and pedestrian.To avert any untoward situation more than 2000 police personnel were deputed along with mourning processions. According to police they established extra 60 check posts at the sindh punjab and sindh baluchistan bordering areas as well as entry and exit points. Whereas sharpshooters were also deployed at multiplied buildings. Police personnel also recorded videos of the processions as part of security strategy. In order to maintain law and order Police Cheif  kashmore Mohmmad Murad patrolled the city throughout the day. Majlis of “Shame Ghariban” mourning gatherings were held at mostly Imambargahs of city where scholars and zakirs taught sermons and lessons to mourners and momins. When this scribe contacted to kashmore SSP Mohammad Murad he pleased to announce that no untoward incident was reported from anywhere from district while all the mourning processions were passed peacefully. He said police had made elaborate security arrengements to ensure peace on chehlam of Imam Hussain (RA) as many as  2000 police jawans including 6 DSPs, 26 inspectors, 41 sub inspectors 158 ASIs and PCs had performed their duties. Moreover to avert any untoward situation during chehlum day police and sindh rangers carried out jointly search operations and snap checking at entry and exit points of the district. However police jawans in dress and plainclothes guarded all the route of the procession while the unnecessary entry points were sealed off and entry was allowed on the route only from walk through gates and scanning by metal detectors and it was completely banned on pillion riding throughout the day. While it was completely banned on pillion riding he added.

Whereas All the shopping centres, markets, shops , hotels, restaurants remained closed throughout the day.
