Qadri announces anti-govt moot on 31st

Says people won’t let rulers loot national wealth

ISLAMABAD - Terming the incumbent government led by Nawaz Sharif anti-people, Pakistan Awami Tehreek Dr Tahirul Qadri has announced calling of opposition parties huddle in Lahore on July 31 to draw a future course of action to rid the country of looters and plunders of national wealth.

Addressing the reception hosted in his honour by Awami Muslim League President Sh. Rasheed Ahmad at Lal Haveli yesterday, Dr. Tahirul Qadri called upon the people of Pakistan to stand against the tyrant and corrupt leaders who had put the very existence of the country at stake.

He said that the rulers in the name of democracy were busy looting and plundering the national wealth and utilising all the state resources for their personal gains and pushed the country at the brink of economic collapse.

He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his cronies were playing havoc with the resources of the country and what to speak of serving the cause of people they were busy launching mega projects to make huge commissions and kickbacks while on the other hand more and more people were going down the poverty line.

He said that the families of Model Town martyrs were still waiting for justice and made it loud and clear that soon the people of Pakistan would bring them to justice as the heirs of the 14 martyrs had refused to take compensation money (Qasas) against the killings of their dear ones.

He said that in the July 31 moot of opposition parties’ leadership they would decide their future course of action and made it loud and clear that now the people of Pakistan would not let them in power anymore as they had seen the real faces of these corrupt people who were playing with their fate since long.

Referring to the blatant misuse of national airlines by Sharif family, Dr. Tahirul Qadri said that after making it bankrupt the rulers would sell the organisation in the name of privatization to some favourite the practice they had been doing to dole out the state entities to their cronies at throwaway prices.

On the occasion, AML President Sh. Rasheed Ahmad said that the days of rulers are numbered and soon they would be searching for refuge which the people of Pakistan would not let them escape and make them return each and every penny they had looted and plundered.

He came down hard on JUI-F chief Moulana Fazlur Rehman for allegedly playing in the hands of ruling PML-N for petty gains and a couple of ministerial slots adding that he (Moulana) had always made the masses fool in the name of Islam but made it clear that people have seen his real face and would no more play in his hands.

He said that D-day is approaching fast for the corrupt rulers and they have to face the ruthless accountability process, as it is the only way to cleanse the system from the corrupt mafia.

He said that they were supporting Dr. Tahirul Qadri because he talked about the poor masses and their rights adding that his party would be with him in this struggle.

He regretted that justice was not done in the Model Town carnage where some 14 activists of Pakistan Awami Tehreek were gunned down by state machinery only because they were raising the voice for their rights.

Later, Dr. Tahirul Qadri along with Sh. Rasheed Ahmad and other party leaders also visited the hunger strike camp of Wadatul Muslameen and expressed solidarity with Raja Nasir Abbass and showed solidarity with him.
