PWC celebrates Labour Day

LAHORE - The working class all over the country commemorated 1st May i.e. International Labour Day with great fervour by holding rallies and demonstration and taking out procession across the country protesting against the economic and social injustice and anti-labour laws prevailing in the country and sky rocketing price hike, says a press release. The main procession was taken out from Bakhtiar Labour Hall, that was participated by thousand of trade unions representatives under the aegis of Pakistan Worker Confederation. The processionists passed through McLeod Road to Beden Road to Regal Chowk, Lahore. A large number of Working Women also participated in the procession. The procession was led by Khurshid Ahmed, General Secretary, Muhammad Yoqoob, President Pakistan Workers Confederation, Ch. Talib Nawaz, President, Pakistan Workers Federation, Rubina Jamil, General Secretary, All Pakistan Trade Union Federation, Altaf, Chairman Muttahida Labour Federation, Akbar Ali, General Secretary, National Bank of Pakistan Employees Union, Fazal-e-Wahid, General Secretary, Pakistan Railways, Salahud Din Ayubi, General Secretary of Pakistan PWD along with Osama Tariq Deputy General Secretary, Pakistan Workers Federation, Syed Sijjad Hussain Shah, Syed Zahid Hussain Shah, Pakistan WAPDA Hvdro Electric Central Labour Union (CBA) and other Trade Union Representatives.
