PP-254 candidate dies of cardiac arrest

MUZAFFARGARH - A candidate of Tehrik Tahaffuz-e-Pakistan died of cardiac arrest at Rangpur late on Thursday night during election campaign. The District Returning Officer (DRO) Muzaffargarh has sent the report regarding death of PP-254 candidate Mehr Mushtaq Ahmad Khera to the ECP for the postponement of elections in PP-254 constituency, election officials said. The candidate who was assigned the election symbol of 'missile' was present at the house of his teacher late Ahmad Bakhsh on Thursday night when he suffered heart attack and died. The deceased is survived by a widow, a son and six daughters.
It may be noted that elections have already been postponed in a Provincial Assembly constituency PP-217 in Mian Channu due to death of a candidate Abdul Sattar a few days ago.
