Zardari accused of attacking PML-N offices in Sindh

LAHORE PML-N leaders on Sunday accused President Asif Ali Zardari of abetting attacks on their offices in various cities of Sindh. They said the situation created by burning the offices of PML-N in Sindh and Karachi was a conspiracy against democracy and they would foil it. While talking to a joint press conference here at PML-N secretariat MNA Khawaja Saad Rafiq and Senator Pervaiz Rasheed said that the incidents of violence on PML-N offices were occurred on behest of the boss of 'political mafia sitting in presidency. On the occasion, Khawaja Saad Rafiq said that the timing of the rallies of MQM and PTI were the same and their 'music director was sitting in the Presidency. He said according to the verdict of the Apex court, Pakistan Peoples Party and MQM were involved in terrorism. To a question, he said the government which could not arrest the killers of its leader (Benazir Bhutoo), how it would arrest our culprits. If one office of PML-N is burnt in Sidh, the party would open three new offices there. PML-N will spread its movement against government in Sindh soon, he said. The PML-N leaders said that not only organized attacks were being made on the offices of PML-N in Sindh but these had also been set on fire. They said that hooliganism had reached to an alarming level. They further said that when the provincial Chief Organizer of PML-N Saleem Zia reached at press club to address a press conference regarding the mishaps, a large number of PPP activist were gathered there and he was cordoned outside the press club which was shameful. They said that the central leadership of PML-N would soon visit the burnt offices in Sindh. Saad Rafiq said that massive participation of the people in 'Go Zardari Go rally of MPL-N on October 28 had perturbed Zardari mafia. Lahorites have voted against corruption, load-shedding, price hike and slavery and people have fed up with the Zardaris so called democracy, he said, adding that when the corruption of Zardari was highlighted, Altaf Hussain perturbed in London and MQM took out rally in support of Zardari. He said that now MQM had become 'rented party. He said that MQM had also taken out rally on May 12 in support of dictator Musharraf when there was bloodshed in Karachi. He warned Zardari to face criticism or change his habit. Saad Rafiq said that his party was working against status quo but the parties like MQM and PPP were struggling to save status quo. He said that Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif visited flood affected areas of Sindh, distributed eatable items among affectees and sent doctors, nurses and medicines but Zardari just did a video conference. They said that Sindh government, Qaim Ali Shah and leadership of MQM did not bother to visit flood affected areas. He said Zardari could not digest the popularity of PML-N in Sindh and warm welcome of Nawaz Sharif by Sindhi people. He also announced that PML-N would hold pubic meeting and rallies in Faisalabad on November 20 and in Gujranwala on November 25. It may be mentioned here that several offices of the PML-N came under attack in various areas of Sindh early morning on Sunday night. According to media reports, two offices were set on fire while other offices in Larkana, Hyderabad, Kandkhot and Jacobabad areas came under attack when unidentified gunmen opened fire on them. The miscreants also torched portraits of PML-N leaders and party leader Nawaz Sharif outside the offices. The Sindh provincial and home ministers have taken notice of the incidents suspended three SHOs over the incidents of violence.
