Islamabad wants stronger relations with Washington: Sherry

Pakistan ambassador to the United States Sherry Rehman has said that Islamabad is striving to build an enduring relationship with Washington based on strong people-to-people linkages and mutual understanding.
She was speaking at a reception in honour of outgoing US Special Envoy for Afghanistan and Pakistan Marc Grossman in Washington. She said “we should look to enhance and broaden bilateral relations by creating opportunities for trade and business cooperation.”
Sherry Rehman said five Pak-US working groups will complete their joint deliberations by the middle of this month.
Marc Grossman hailed the resilience of Pakistani people in the face of challenges. He expressed confidence that Pakistani nation would solve problems in its own way.
