A teenage boy was found tortured to death from the canal in the Kahna area, police said on Monday.
Police investigators said unidentified men tortured the 18-year-old boy, unidentified so far, to death and fled away after throwing his body into the canal. Some passersby spotted the body and alerted the police on early Monday. Police said that there were severe torture marks on the body of the youth. The police removed the body to the morgue for autopsy. A murder case has also been registered against unidentified killers. Further investigation is underway.

A man opened fire on a shopkeeper when he was under the influence of liquor in the Hayer police area and escaped instantly.
Police said that Babar Masih was under the influence of liquor when he shot at and wounded the shopkeeper, later identified as Waqar Ahmed. The gunman fled away from the crime scene immediately.
