Influential Afghan trader kidnapped

PESHAWAR - An influential Afghan businessman was mysteriously picked up by unknown armed men from his residence at Hayatabad, Peshawar late on Wednesday night. "From seven to eight armed persons boarding on two vehicles have picked Haji Baghcha Gul alias Haji Baghcho from his Hujra," remarked one of his relatives. He said that armed persons after entering the Hujra, snatched cell phones from all occupants and later forced Haji Baghcho to board on one of the vehicles.  Haji Baghcha Gul belonged to Shinwar district of Nangarhar province, Afghanistan, and was charged by US for involvement in drug trafficking and extending financial help to Taliban militants. The relatives are confused whether Haji Baghcho was picked up by the personnel of intelligence agencies or kidnappers.
