Young Rising retain women soccer title

LAHORE - Defending champions Young Rising Star Women Football Club on Tuesday lifted the Eighth National Women Football Championship trophy after edging out Wapda in sudden death penalty shoot outs in the final played at Pakistan Sports Board Jinnah Stadium, Islamabad. According to the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) spokesman, the players of both the teams showed excellent performance and the match remained leveled till the final whistle. Hence, it was decided with the help of penalty kicks wherein the Young Rising Club Rawalpindi beat Wapda 2-0. Sana Mehmood and Nida scored one goal each for the winning team.
