Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Communication Dr Shahbaz Gill got attacked by anonymous mob who smeared ink on him in Lahore on Monday, causing him an eye infection.

The PM aide visited Mayo Hospital Lahore where he underwent an eye check-up.

In a statement, Dr Shahbaz Gill said that PML-N workers threw ink in his eye which has caused infection due to chemicals present in ink.

As per details shared by sources, SAPM was in the premises of the Lahore High Court (LHC) where he had arrived to appear in a case. An anonymous mob hurled at him, smearing ink on his face.

Footage showed Gill being escorted by a number of PTI workers and lawyers under an umbrella.
