LAHORE – Provincial Minister for Zakat and Usher Malik Nadeem Kamran on Monday directed Wasa authorities to keep the existing generators operational besides installing new ones where there is no generator available at disposal stations and tube-wells, so that people did not face any difficulty for getting water in case of loadshedding and drainage of water during the monsoon.
Presiding over a meeting of Cabinet Committee on Loadshedding Management Emergency, the minister said five dewatering pumps each for all towns have been purchased to cope with the monsoon situation and ensuring the drainage of water from low lying areas.
