The changing light of day and moods are the foundations of my work. My paintings usually start with a colour idea, then evolve into compositions in which colour is the primary subject. To me, art is a synthesis of my personal feelings, said Faiza Khan while commenting on her work. She said, In my latest work, I have taken inspiration from nature. I experience nature as roiling, forceful energy that is extraordinary and yet also an ordinary part of everyday life. Tabassum Rizvi has painted Thar women, their struggle and various aspect of their life in amalgam of similar hues. My observation of life finds form of expression in my paintings which is a source of great pleasure and satisfaction, giving me a sense of inner peace as well as sense of achievement, Tabassum Rizvi said. She further said, I capture the beauty of movement around us and female form is more suitable to show empathy and communication. I use bold brush strokes and colours to convey the movement related to the canvas of life. Done with mixed media, Sadias art is a private statement on her life experiences. Most of her drawings concentrate on the human anatomy, and female figure. The exhibition will continue till May 10th.
