Mir Ali- Amid ground offensive in the North Waziristan, at least two soldiers martyred and another was wounded as vehicle of security forces came under attack today at Mir Ali area of lawless tribal agency borders with Afghanistan.

According to official sources, terrorists opened fire on vehicle of Pakistan army near Mir Ali, second main town of the agency as forces were busy in ground operation in the area. After today’s attack, death toll of soldiers reached to 19 while nearly 400 terrorists have been killed in ongoing Zarb-e-Azb operation. The Pakistan Army has launched a ground offensive in the North Waziristan tribal area on Monday, beginning a new phase in its operation against Taliban militants. The troops moved on Miranshah and Mir Ali, the main towns in North Waziristan, after two weeks of air strikes and artillery bombardment on the insurgents’ targets.
