Partial strike in Sindh on JSQM call

JAMSHORO - A partial strike was observed in different areas of Sindh on Friday on the call of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz against the arrest of party workers and Pakistan Protection Ordinance 2013.
The shutter-down and wheel-jam strike was observed in several cities and towns of Sindh including Kotri, Bhan, Saeedabad and Sehwan Sharif. Most of the business outlets and shops remained closed while thin attendance in public and private schools was reported. There was very little traffic on the roads in interior Sindh following an announcement of strike by the JSQM. Earlier on Thursday evening, a bus was allegedly torched by JSQM activists. The party announced strike after Rangers arrested central joint secretary Bashir Ahmed Khaskheli. The JSQM workers took to the streets and resorted to aerial firing near Safoora Chowrangi in Karachi. Meanwhile, the party spokesperson told media that Khaskheli was arrested by Rangers and his whereabouts were still unknown.
