Balochistan High Court (BHC) is hearing the petition seeking lodging of Nawab Akbar Bugti murders FIR against former president Pervez Musharraf. A single bench of BHC headed by Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Essa is conducting the hearing of petition filed from Nawab Akbar Bugtis son Nawabzada Jamil Akbar Bugti. During previous hearing, petitioners lawyers stated that district and session judge Dera Bugti had dismissed the petition seeking lodging of Nawab Akbar Bugti murders FIR despite having authority of registering the case. The honourable court had approved the petition for hearing and issued notices to former President Pervez Musharraf, former prime minister and other high federal and provincial officials for todays hearing. The court had ordered to issue notice to attorney general of Pakistan in place of the than governor Balochistan and present governor NWFP Owais Ahmad Ghani. The notices had also been served to those outside the country through foreign ministry.
