Government all set to launch Ehsaas Digital Survey in Rawalpindi, says Dr Sania Nishtar

rawalpindi-The government is all set to launch Ehsaas Digital Survey in the district. “From January 25, the government will conduct survey in seven tehsils of Rawalpindi,” said Special Assistant to PM Imran Khan on Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection Dr Sania Nishtar at a presser held in DC Office on Friday. She was flanked by DC Rawalpindi Capt (R) Anwaar Ul Haq.
Addressing the press conference, Dr Sania Nishtar said survey has earlier been completed in 41 districts. 
She said the purpose of survey is to facilitate women beneficiaries and avoid fraudulent activities in disbursement of payment. She said teachers are being trained for conducting Ehsaas survey. 
“The applicants will be included in new programmes such as Ehsaas Kafalat and other interest-free loans,” she said adding that the government is locating the needy and poor people through survey.
She clarified that neither the government is distributing any kind of form nor charging fee in this regard.
“The process of Ehsaas survey will be partial and purely on merit as per vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan,” said Dr Sania Nishtar.
She said the team will pay door to door visit and compile data with help of android tablets. She said legal action would be taken against those found involved in providing bogus information/details to survey teams.
“The government has allocated Rs7 billion for Ehsaas Programme,” she added.
She said the government will set up 48 Ehsaas Nashunama centres in the country. In Holy Family Hospital, Ehsaas Tahafuz Programme will be started in February, said the SAPM.
