Dama dum mastqalander if CM did not attend session

LAHORE-The PPPs Deputy Parliamentary Leader in Punjab Assembly, Shaukat Mahmood Basra on Tuesday said that Punjab Chief Minister should come to the assembly during its upcoming session on April 14 to clear his position on different issues. In a press statement issued on Monday, he said that if the chief minister did not attend the coming assembly session convened by the Opposition, then there will be what he called dama dum mastqalandar. He said that Law Minister Rana Sana Ullah had said many a times that Shahbaz Sharif will come to the assembly to respond to Oppositions queries on all issues; but he did not turn up even for a single day. He said entire Punjab Assembly wanted answers to their questions from the CM about controversial release of Raymond Davis and bad financial position of Punjab government. Basra alleged that Shahbaz Sharif had no answer to these questions and this is why he was shying away from attending the Punjab Assembly session. Taking clue from former Punjab Chief Minister Ch Pervaiz Elahi, he called Shahbaz a Blood Pressure Chief Minister who, he said, was trying to give the impression of good governance by scolding the bureaucracy. Those arresting doctors and ordering baton charge on doctors could not be true representatives of people, he observed, adding that a chief minister who claimed that he would end thana culture never bothered to visit a police station to seek first-hand knowledge of polices excesses on people. He said Daanish School System will also fail like sasti roati scheme.
