Special complaint cell set up

LAHORE - On the direction of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif a special Complaint Cell has been established at 8-Club Road during Ramazan. Chief Minister has appointed monitoring Incharge to Director Chief Ministers Complaint Cell Shahid Qadir, Deputy Secretary Aamir Ghazi, Deputy Secretary Ahsan Waheed and Maj Aftab for immediate redressal of complaints, says a handout. While talking to mediamen, Director Chief Ministers Complaint Cell Shahid Qadir informed that the special complaint cell set up for earning the blessings of Almighty Allah would ensure quality and rates of atta and sugar under Ramazan Package. He further told that the rates and quality of fruits, vegetables and other daily use items being sold in Ramazan Bazars would also be ensured. He said the cleanliness condition in Ramazan Bazars and quality of Ramzan Dastarkhawans would also be checked and immediate action would be taken on any complaint so that people should not face any difficulty during Ramazanul Mubarak throughout the province. He said the consumers could contact on telephone numbers 042-9204906-14 with regard to quality and provision of daily use items on fixed prices during Ramazanul Mubarak. UET organises entry test University of Engineering & Technology (UET) organised entry test for its various disciplines on Sunday. The result was announced on the UET website the same night. As many as 24,920 candidates appeared for 1991 seats in 22 departments of the varsity. Thirty per cent marks were needed in the entry test and 70 per cent for FSc, (Intermediate). Out of 1991 seats 1800 were for open merit and 191 for four provinces. As many as 10,700 candidates appeared from Lahore, 4040 from Multan, 30 from Bahawalpur, 580 from Faisalabad, 710 from Karachi and 130 from Peshawar in the entry test.
