KARACHI - Crime Investigation Department (CID) claimed to have arrested two illegal weapons smugglers after an encounter with huge cache of arms that was to be supplied to the militants outfits. Initial interrogation revealed that the said arrested accused were identified as Mohammad Alam and Mustafa Pathan. Police sources said that on a tip-off, CID team conducted a raid and arrested the said accused and recovered 6 Kalashnikovs, a rifle and a repeater from their possession. Police sources also said that they were involved in smuggling of illegal weapons usually being supplied to the different militant groups in the City. An FIR has been registered against the accused while further investigation is underway.
