QUETTA - The provincial capital, parts of northern and central Balochistan received snowfall and rain on Friday.
Quetta received light snowfall while heavy snow blanketed its adjacent mountains, which started on Friday morning and continued till the evening intermittently. The towns which received snow include Ziarat, Kalat, Khan Matherzai, Pishin, Kojak and Muslim Bagh while Khuzdar, Nushki, Harnai, Mastung and Suraab received rain.
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department predicated more snowfall and rain during the next 24 hours in major parts of Balochistan.
On the other hand, gas shortage has been adding to people’s woes in the intense cold.
