LAHORE Samanabad College clinched the Azadi Cup Women Volleyball Tournament title on Thursday which was organised by the Punjab Volleyball Association in collaboration with Punjab Olympic Association here at Govt College of Technology for Women, Jain Mandar to celebrate Independence Day. The final match was played best-of-three sets between Samanabad College and Govt College of Technology which Samaabad College won by 2-0 (25-21, 25-22). Kiran and Shazia were the best players of the final match. In the first match of the event, Govt College of Technology beat Govt Qulya tul Binat College by 25-7. In the second match, Samanabad College beat Wahadat Road College by 25-8. Principal Govt College of Technology for Women Samina Almas was the chief guest on the occasion. She gave away the Azadi Cup to the wining team and distributed prizes among all the participant teams and officials.
