Militants attempt to explode Girls High School in Peshawar

Militants attempted to blow up a Girls High School with explosive material in Landi-Arbab suburb areas of Peshawar on Monday that partially damaged the building. Police informed that some extremists' elements detonated explosive material along school building that exploded with massive bang, however the explosion partially damaged the school building but the intensity of the blast was so severe that it smashed windowpanes of nearby houses. The blast created panic in the area, however no casualty has been reported. After the blast police reached the blast scene immediately and collected evidences from the blast-place, bomb-disposal squad said that approximately 1.5Kg explosive material was utilized in the explosion. It is also worth mentioning that security has not been provided for the school despite that during last one year, terrorists have targeted the school three times.
