PML-N plans rallies, protests against price hike in KP

Amir Muqam blames PTI govt for snatching very right of living from poor masses

Peshawar - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa president Engn Amir Muqam on Thursday announced to hold rallies and protest demonstration against unprecedented price-hike, across the province.

Addressing a news conference at party’s provincial secretariat, he said, “The incumbent incompetent rulers have become unbearable due to their uncalled for and cruel policies. The PML-N has decided to oust them from the power corridors with the public support.” He said that protest rallies and corner meetings would be held at district and provincial level in the province which would specifically be focused on the failed economic policies of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government which shot up inflation and brought miseries for the poor people.

Amir Muqam said that PML-N in a meeting had fully deliberated upon the strategy for protest against the PTI government and party organisation throughout the province. He said that all participants contributed their input and placed their respective proposals in the meeting.

The PML-N leader said that protest demos and rallies would be kicked off from Swat today (Friday) and he would lead them. Protest rallies and demonstrations will also be staged in every nook and corner of the province.

The PML-N leader blamed the PTI for snatching very right of living from the poor masses and now its days are numbered. He predicted that the hybrid system had started collapsing as cracks had been appearing in this artificial system.

Amir Muqam also announced to fully back Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) anti-price spiral protest which would commence from November 5, saying that PML-N would largely contribute to it. He said the present scenario glorified for the ouster of PTI government and the general election would soon be held. He asked party workers to get ready for the election, and the protest should be deemed as a campaign for next election.

The PML-N leader said that the PTI had lost trust of the people and now they are looking towards PML-N as the only saviour to redress their grievances and provide economic stability to the country.

He also criticised the announcement of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to hold local bodies (LG) election in phases, saying it is a trick of incompetent and corrupt government. However, he said that PML-N is ready for it as PTI had no future scope and it would not even get candidates in next polls. He asked the people to get united under the banner of PML-N for their glorious and bright future.
