83 polio cases reported across Pakistan

KARACHI - As many as 83 polio cases have been reported across Pakistan since January 2013, said Sindh Additional Secretary Health Dr Masood Ahmed Solangi.
Dr Solangi said a total of 83 polio cases had been reported in Pakistan this year so far, out of which seven cases were reported in Sindh, six in Punjab, 10 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 60 in Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata). No case was detected in Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan in 2013.
He further said 58 polio cases had been reported across the country in 2012. Similarly, the data of year-wise polio cases reported in Sindh are; seven cases reported in 2013, four in 2012, 33 in 2011, 27 in 2010, 12 in 2009, 18 in 2008, 12 in 2007, 12 in 2006 and five in 2005.
