TOBA TEK SINGH-Pirmahal citizens took out a rally on Monday and demanded that the Punjab government should set up tehsil municipal administration at Pirmahal.
The rally started from Thana Chowk and after passing through various roads culminated at Allah Hu Chowk. They told reporters that Pirmahal was given tehsel status one and half year ago and assistant commissioner. Tehsil courts had already been set up but the TMA had not yet been established thus it was still part of Kamalia TMA, they said.
The protesters noted that over Rs100 million annual revenue being generated from Pirmahal was never spent on the area instead the money was being spent on other areas of Kamalia tehsel.
They demanded immediate announcement to set up TMA in Pirmahal and appoint TMO so that Pirmahal's income be utilised on the development of Pirmahal.
