Four decomposed bodies recovered

KARACHI - A man was booked on the charges of killing his wife, two step-daughters and father-in-law inside the house located within the jurisdiction of New Karachi Industrial Area police. According to details, Jahangir, 42, was working in a local factory. He was accused of killing his wife Jamsheda, 39, her two daughters Amna, 16, and Hina, 13, and father-in-law Rajab Ali, 89. Police suspected that the accused had killed the victims four days ago and managed to escape from the house located near Sindhi Hotel, Sector 5-F. The neighbours informed the police after smelling foul stink from the house. Police reached the spot and shifted their bodies to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medicolegal formalities. According to doctors, all the four victims were first poisoned and later slaughtered. The family was Bengali and living in the area for the last four years. Police said that the couple had got their second marriage and Jamsheda had already two girls Amna and Hina from her first husband. ASH medicolegal officer Dr Sheraz said that all the four victims were slaughtered to death and physically they had no mark of torture on their bodies. To a question, he said that the samples had been sent to laboratory to find out the possibilities of poison. SHO Ishtiaq Ghauri said that the culprit managed to flee and it would not so easy to conclude the case till his arrest. He said it appeared that the accused had killed his family over some property dispute. A case has been registered against Jahangir and police had been looking for him.
