ICTA reviews security arrangements

ISLAMABAD ICT Administration Wednesday reviewed the security arrangements made for the 22 polling stations set up in the Capital territory for the upcoming general elections of the legislative assembly of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) to be held on June 26. Chief Commissioner Islamabad Tariq Mahmood Pirzada reviewed the arrangements in a meeting that was also attended by the Inspector General of Police Islamabad Binyamin, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Amer Ali Ahmed, SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan and officials of other concerned departments. Chief Commissioner directed the officials to ensure the foolproof security arrangements for the 22 polling stations including the staff of polling stations and the voters. He further gave directions to the officials to ensure the maintenance of peace and order for the polling on June 26 at the polling stations in a free fair and impartial manner. The meeting was informed that the District Administration and Islamabad Police had made foolproof security arrangements for the polling day and peace and order would be ensured at the polling stations.
