ATTOCK - One Naeem brutally injured a woman and cut her hair as she refused to dance in the jurisdiction of Injra police station.
Police are reluctant to take action against the accused who is already involved in various cases. A group of notables of the area, including Shabbir Ahmad, Munawar Khan, Muhammad Aqil, Omer Khan, A Razzaq and others, told reporters that the alleged accused, Naeem Khan, entered the house of Razia Bibi, asked her to put off her clothes and dance, but she refused to do so.
They said the criminal cut her hair and tried to chop her nose as a result of which she was badly injured. Naeem Khan also injured her husband, Abid Bakhsh, they added. The notables said both the husband and wife reported the matter to the police, but to no avail.
The notables said they, along with the victim family, approached District Police Officer Attock Israr Ahmed Abbasi and apprised him of the incident as well as the irresponsible attitude of the Injra SHO. The DPO assured them of bringing the culprit to justice and taking action against the staff of Injra police station, if found guilty.
