ISLAMABAD (APP) President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday telephoned PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif and congratulated him over the tabling of the 18th Constitutional Amendment Bill in the parliament. The President said that the credit for the amendment goes to all the political parties for showing maturity and rising above partisan politics in larger national interest. The President said the PPP and he will continue to work with him (Nawaz) with a spirit of reconciliation and mutual accommodation, and also with all the political parties for the solidarity and good of the country. President Zardari hoped that the 18th Constitutional Amendment will be passed by the National Assembly at the earliest. The President also felicitated the Constitutional Reforms Committee (CRC) and all its members on the laying of the 18th Amendment Bill in the parliament. Spokesperson to the President former Senator Farhatullah Babar said the President, in a message, said for the tabling of the bill, credit goes to all the political parties for showing maturity and rising above partisan politics for the larger national interest. The President said he was immensely pleased with the working of the CRC and its Chairman Raza Rabbani. Farhatullah Babar said the President hoped that the Parliament will soon adopt the bill.
