Karachi is experiencing disruption in power supply due to a tripping in the Extra High Tension (EHT) Network. Supply from the National Grid to the city is off. Restoration work is under way, said K-Electric.

Supply from the National Grid partially restored. Power supply restored to parts of the city, including Gulshan and Federal B. Area.

According to reports, Power supply to KE from national grid is currently restricted due to technical reasons. Due to this unforeseen shortfall, forced load management of up to an hour in exempted areas will be carried out.

KE said that efforts will be made to inform individual customers about load management timing via SMS (8119 service).

Futhermoer, the power utility is in contact for earliest possible restoration with concerned authorities to bring power situation in the city back to routine.

Meanwhile, the localized tripping due to high humidity levels occurred in the early hours today has already been restored and KE’s system is completely stable.
