Court rejects bail plea of accused murderer of US national woman

RAWALPINDI - Additional and District Sessions Judge (ADSJ) Muhammad Afzal Majoka rejected the bail plea of father of accused killer of US National woman Wajiha Swati on Saturday.

When the court took up Wajiha Swati’s murder case, the lawyer of Rizwan Habib, the accused killer of US national Wajiha Swati, argued that the police dragged his client in the murder case without any reason.

He added there would be huge lacunae in the FIR if court ordered inquiry in the case. He added that keeping his client into custody after the police had completed investigation was out of question.

The prosecution opposed the defence and pleaded the court to reject the bail application of accused. After completion of arguments of both parties, ADSJ Muhammad Afzal Majoka dismissed the bail application of the accused.

Earlier, the court had issued Wajiha’s four iphones to FBI for a forensic from Virginia based laboratory. Similarly, the DNA of deceased was also conducted in USA and FBI representative produced the reports and mobile phones before court.

The court adjourned hearing till April 29, 2022
