LAHORE - Inspector General of Police Punjab Tariq Saleem Dogar taking action on the public complaints on Friday ordered disciplinary action against 15 police officials on the charges of corruption and misuse of powers. According to the spokesman of Punjab Police, the IGP issued these orders against the said police officials in an open kutchery held at the Central Police Office (CPO) here. A complainant Muhammad lshaq had submitted an application to IGP alleging that SI Investigation Yousaf got illegal gratification from him for the arrest of an accused. The IGP directed SP Investigation Lahore to register a case against the SI Investigation after holding an inquiry. A citizen Muhammad Saeed levelled allegations of bribe against constable Waqar of PS Manawan for his release. The IGP directed SP Cantt for the registration of a case against the said constable after holding an inquiry. Likewise, Haji Mansoor alleged that ASI Muhammad Rashid of PS Allama lqbal Town took illegal gratification from him. The IGP ordered SP Discipline, Lahore to take disciplinary action against the said official after conducting inquiry. A citizen Muhammad Riaz alleged that SI Ashfaq Shah and ASI Mudassar Shah implicated his two sons in a fake case and released them after receiving huge money from him. Similarly a citizen Muzaffar lqbal alleged that Circle Inspector Traffic Raiwind Fayyaz misused his official powers and takes various articles, as bribery from him off and on. The lG directed DIG Traffic, Lahore to personally probe the matter and a case be registered against the said official subject to proving the charges. Muhammad Asif alleged ASI Rana ljaz Ahmad of PS Sadar Raiwind that he involved the applicant in a bogus case and later received illegal gratification from him for declaring him innocent. The lG ordered DPO Kasur to take disciplinary action against the said official after conducting inquiry. A citizen of Bahawalnagar Rukhsar Ahmad alleged that ASI Saeed and Head Constable Yaseen of PS Chowk Sarwar Shaheed arrested him unlawfully and later the ASI and SHO Safdar took huge money from his brother for his release. The lG directed the DPO Bahawalnagar for taking severe disciplinary action against the officials after conducting inquiry. A complainant Munawar Bibi levelled allegation against SI Ayaz Khan stating that the said police official received illegal gratification from her family for the arrest of kidnappers of her brother and son. The IGP directed DPO Vehari to hold an inquiry and a case be registered against the delinquent police official. Likewise, Shakeela Bibi alleged that ASI Mustafa of PS Jalalpur Sadar Multan took money from her for the apprehension of accused involved in the incident of theft in her shop. The IGP ordered CPO Multan to personally probe the matter and a case be registered against the official subject to proving the charge. A citizen Abbas alleged that a constable of Elite Force Liaqat Ali took huge money from him for recruitment of his brother in police department. The IG summoned SP City, Lahore in open kut6hery and directed him to personally probe the matter and a case be registered subject to proving the charge against the official. Similarly, Sabir Ali alleged that ASI Investigation of PS Ferozewala Jang Sher arrested his cousin on suspicion in the mobile theft case and later released him after receiving bribery from him. The IG ordered the DPO Sheikhupura to personally probe into the matter and a case be registered against the official subject to proving the charge.
