Mission Impossible for Ireland

Ireland faces an uphill task against a robust Sri Lankan side. Although Ireland are the spirited underdogs of the tournament but against a team like Sri Lanka they will be facing a battle for survival. Sri Lankans have been pretty accurate in the tournament so far and a win in today's game will almost take them in semi finals. The Lankans disposed off Pakistan and keeping their performance in mind Ireland won't be much of a problem for them. Sri Lankan batsmen will be the biggest threat for Ireland given their brisk batting skills while the Lankan bowling with Malinga, Murali and Mendis will also be more than handful for Ireland. The Irish don't have much of a chance in this game but shall take it as a learning curve for themselves. No time to lag behind This game is a must win situation for both England and India. While England got a drubbing from South Africa the much vaunted Indian side was shocked by West Indies on Friday. Both teams will be eager for a win but Indians will have the edge given their more resourceful side. Dhoni and his men were caught off guard by Windies and now will have to beat England convincingly to keep their hopes alive. Hosts England were terrible against Proteas and will have to give a special effort if they are to survive. England will have to lessen their reliance on Kevin Pietersen and others will have to show their mettle. One can expect a strong comeback from India while only a miracle can help England win given their off colour batting and bowling effort against top teams off late.
