CHAGHAI: The Levies men rescued nine abducted persons after an exchange of fire and arrested an accused today.

Assistant Commissioner, Murad Kasi said that the Levies personnel conducted an operation in Taftan area of district Chaghai during which exchange of fire took place with kidnappers' gang.

After a gun battle, which continued for about half an hour, the Levies men rescued nine abducted persons and also arrested one member of the kidnappers’ gang while others managed to escape.
