Street crimes on the rise in G-6

ISLAMABAD - Street crimes are on the rise due to lack of streetlights in sector G-6 located in the Red Zone of the federal capital.
All the streets of this sector wear look of a village as soon as the nightfalls due to non-installation of streetlights, and the criminals and robbers play havoc in the darkness.
“I was on my way back to home from market but soon after my entry into the street some criminal snatched my purse and mobile at gunpoint,” said Aamna Bibi, a lady teacher. Every night, thieves strike in our street and run away after looting the residents, complained the residents of the street.
Residents demanded of the CDA to make immediate arrangement for installation of streetlights otherwise they would resort the court of law.
