ISLAMABAD/LAHORE - Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid said on Sunday that PTI Chairman Imran will have to eat his words on several statements like the 35 punctures’statement.
In a statement, the minister said that PTI lawyer advised Imran Khan against the dangers of levelling baseless allegations but the latter could not get rid of his habit. He said that the PTI chief remained unable to produce any evidence in the judicial commission related to his so-called 35 punctures’ statement, which in itself was a confession of his false claims.
He said it was strange that Imran did not raise the allegations in the courts, which he continuously repeats in the media. The minister said that Tehrik-e-Insaf would be remembered in history as Tehreek-e-Dushnam.
Pervaiz Rashid said that the whole world had seen the real face of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan and the reality of his allegations of rigging in elections.
He said Imran Khan did not even feel ashamed after his baseless allegations of rigging proved false. People have started recognising Imran Khan as Ilzam (Allegation) Khan, the minister remarked.
He said Imran Khan should avoid uttering false statements at least during the holy month of Ramazan. The minister asked Imran to shun politics of blames and focus on his government’s performance in KP as the success in next general elections would depend only on performance.

Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid Sunday said that absence of democracy in the country gave birth to terrorism, extremism, energy crisis and bad governance.
“Had there been a better system of government than democracy, the world would have adopted it,” the minister remarked at an Iftar dinner hosted by the CPNE President Mujeebur Rehman Shami in Lahore.
He was of the view that no system could deliver better than democracy. “The election processes, ballot-paper and vote are the best sources of accountability,” he observed.
Responding to Imran Khan’s defence of 35 punctures’ statement, the minister said Khan’s lawyer had forbidden him against the dangers of telling lies, adding that the PTI chairman must pay heed to the advice. To a question, he said the Indian government must understand the fact that peace was as important for India as for Pakistan, adding that India must learn from the past wars if she desired peace in the region.
“Today’s world is desirous of peace as Europe fought many wars but it achieved all progress through peace,” he added.
To a question, he said the process of rehabilitation of the IDPs had started and our brothers would go back to their homes safely soon as their areas were being cleared of bomb-mines.
To a query, he said Zarb-e-Azb would continue as long as the terrorist groups exist in the areas.
On the FATA empowerment, the minister said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif constituted a committee to give a role to the FATA in the mainstream politics.
The minister called upon the newspaper and media house owners to ensure the implementation of the wage board award so that the interests of the journalists and media workers could be protected. To a query, the minister said extermination of extremist mindset from society was as important as the elimination of terrorism and terrorist infrastructure, adding that the government had achieved tremendous success in curbing terrorist infrastructure over the past two years. The minister urged the schools, seminaries, radio, television and the print media to work together so that extremism could be eliminated from the society for betterment of the society.
About the Karachi situation, Senator Rashid said the masses, industrialists, traders and the civil society witnessed the fact that crime rate had fallen conspicuously in the city as compared with the situation in 2013 and law and order situation had improved significantly.
