Third group involved in Karachi blast: Malik

Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that Karachi and Quetta are being targeted through organized campaign and more terror activities are expected in the coming days across the country.
Talking to media persons here in Islamabad on Monday, Rehman Malik pointed out that a third party was involved in the violent activities in Karachi and other cities during Muharram.
The minister instructed the chief secretaries of all the provinces and law enforcement authorities to park the motorcycles half kilometer away from Imam bargahs and added that cars must be parked a kilometer away from the religious gathering points.
Malik also ruled out sectarian divide in the country saying, “there is no sectarianism in Pakistan and everyone is Muslim.”
The Interior Minister said that the party has authorized him to take steps for ensuring protection to public lives and properties.
He claimed that law enforcement authorities have traced the elements involved in Karachi killing and they would be booked soon and breakthrough in this regard was expected within couple of days. Rehman Malik said that after Nov 30, all unregistered SIMs would be blocked.
