Amjad meets Wapda chief




LAHORE : Amjad A. Khan, Managing Director NESPAK, called on Syed Raghib Abbas Shah, Chairman WAPDA, to discuss the upcoming and ongoing projects in the country in the wake of ongoing energy crisis, according to a Press Release issued here on Wednesday. They discussed the status and progress of various ongoing projects and agreed to expedite work on projects of national importance. During the meeting, Chairman WAPDA praised the services rendered by NESPAK for the Mangla Dam Raising Project.
NESPAK-led Mangla Joint Venture has provided engineering consultancy services for feasibility study, detailed engineering design, tender documentation and construction supervision of the project costing around Rs. 102 billion. This year, the storage level of Mangla Dam has attained a level of 1239.70 feet for the first time in history. With this record level, present live storage in the Mangla water reservoir increased to 7.55 million acre feet (MAF).
