PENNSYLVANIA-Sharon Stone is to star in action comedy American Ultra. The Basic Instinct star has stepped into the role of Victoria Lasseter, which was originally marked for Uma Thurman, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Bill Pullman and Arrested Development's Tony Hale were the latest additions to Lionsgate's action comedy, which Nima Nourizadeh will direct. Now You See Me star Jesse Eisenberg will play a ‘seemingly hapless and unmotivated stoner’, with Kristen Stewart already on board as his girlfriend.  The movie - which also stars Topher Grace, John Leguizamo and Walton Goggins - sees Jesse's character Mike summoning his inner action-hero and his spy skills when his secret past returns to haunt him and he becomes the target of a government operation set to wipe him out.
Shooting on American Ultra, written by Max Landis, has started in New Orleans. Sharon, who starred in Lovelace alongside Amanda Seyfried, recently wrapped the TNT pilot Agent X. She will be in Fading Gigolo with Woody Allen and Jon Turturro and romantic drama What About Love alongside Andy Garcia.
