Panic alert system being introduced in Islamabad police

ISLAMABAD- The Help line of Islamabad Police-Rescue 15- is basically established to serve the people in case of emergency and its performance will be further improved with cooperation of citizens.
 It was stated by AIG (Operations) Sultan Azam Temuri while speaking with members of Citizens Police Coordination Committee here at Rescue 15. ASP Ramna Zahida Bukhari and other senior police officials were also present on the occasion.
The AIG (Operations) said that Policing is basically service-oriented job and all departments of Islamabad police must enhance coordination with each other and must respond positively and immediately after receiving any help seeking call from the citizens.
He said panic alert system is being introduced through use of latest technology by which immediate police assistance may be sought from Rescue 15 by pressing a button in case of any emergency.
With the commitment to serve the people, Rescue 15 Islamabad has done a tremendous job during last few years and won great applaud from the people due to its meritorious and public welfare services.
The AIG (Operations) said that Rescue 15 has become a unit of Islamabad police which is
delivering services for the people at their door steps whether it is a case of any emergency or any other problem seeking police assistance. He said that free legal advice and medical facilities are being provided to people and such services will be further improved in coming days.
He said friendly relations between police and citizens will be further strengthened with focus on resolving public complaints. Mr. Temuri said that IGP Islamabad Aftab Ahmed Cheema has assigned him task to make Rescue 15 more service oriented towards public. He said this task would be
achieved. He also directed the staff of Rescue 15 to give importance to every call and try their utmost to resolve the public complaints.
“It is the duty of police officers to provide protection to the citizens and provide them immediate help in case of any emergency,” he said adding that community policing can only be ensured by bridging the gap between police and public.
He appreciated the performance of Rescue 15 and hoped that its performance would further improve with the guidance and cooperation of citizens.
The members of CPCC assured full cooperation to Islamabad police and also gave some proposals to enhance performance.
