BAHAWALPUR
Trees are important and valuable for human existence as they improve environment thus everyone should take part in tree plantation campaign, said Divisional Commissioner Capt (r) Javed Akbar.
He stated this during inauguration of tree plantation campaign 2014 here the other day.
He said that more and more sapling should be planted in the educational institutes, canals and road sides including police stations and courts building. The Commissioner inaugurated the campaign by sapling a plant in his office’s lawn.
The Commissioner said that the Division Forest Department would plant 1 million saplings across the division during the campaign.
On the occasion, he directed the officials concerned to participate in the plantation campaign.
