Security audits underway in various Peshawar areas

Peshawar    -   Capital City Police Officer Ijaz Khan said on Tuesday that eight watchtowers have been set up to secure the fennel area of Bacha Khan International Airport while other security audits of various installations were also being conducted.

Speaking to Pakistan Air Force’s provost Marshal Maqsood Akhtar, the CCPO said that Peshawar Police was doing security audits in various localities of Cantt and city areas to improve security.

The official said flights at the Peshawar airport had been secured with additional security measures. In the past, incidents of firing have taken place at the landing and take-off of flights at the airport.

Meanwhile, 10kg hashish was seized and four drug peddlers were arrested during a crackdown in Peshawar. The arrests were made in the precincts of Agha Mir Jani Shah Police Station.
