LAHORE – A teenage worker committed suicide by hanging himself with the ceiling fan in Ichhra area, police said on Friday.
Resident of Sialkot, Muhammad Tajammal, was working at a bakery located at Zaildar Road in Ichhra.
Police said that the dead body of the boy was hanging from the ceiling fan with a rope tied to his neck as they reached the residential quarter, where the bakery workers were residing. The police said that it was not clear yet why the teenage worker killed himself.
The police have removed the dead body to the morgue and are investigating.
Boy killed: A man has confessed that he had sexually assaulted a 12-year-old boy in Shafiqabad area several days ago and later strangled him, police officials said on Friday.
The killer, identified as Amjad, was working as servant at the residence of the deceased boy, Nauman Ahmed, police said. The victim family had expelled the house servant on the allegation of theft.
Investigators believed that the criminal was familiar with the boy, who took him to an empty building, where he raped and murdered him.
The killer also told the investigators that he murdered the boy, fearing that he would disclose the rape incident to his family. Further investigations are underway.
