Ex-CJP seeks bulletproof car

ISLAMABAD - Former Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has formally filed an application to the Federal Interior Ministry requesting for the provision of foolproof security and bulletproof vehicle to him after the government withdrew security from him after his retirement.
An Interior Ministry official seeking anonymity said that the ministry had written a letter to the Cabinet Division for the provision of bulletproof vehicle to former CJ and has also asked the Islamabad Police to provide him full security.
However, top bosses in Islamabad Police asserted that ICT Police had not yet got any directions from the interior ministry for the provision of security to former CJ and security would be provided to him as they would get such instructions from the ministry.
