Two killed for ‘honour’ in Jaffarabad

QUETTA - A man gunned down his wife and her alleged paramour in the name of honour in Jaffarabad district, on Wednesday.
According to police, Sabir Ali Chandio shot dead his wife Yasin Bibi and her alleged paramour Ali Gul Chandio in Goth Saeed Khan Rind, Tehsil Gandakwa. “The accused fled from the scene after committing the crime,” police officials said adding that the bodies were shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities.
The incident appears to be a case of honour killing, a police official said. Further investigations are underway.
Separately, a child was killed and seven others wounded in an explosion caused by gas leakage in a Dera Bugti area.
According to police, a 3-year-old child lost his life while seven others sustained severe injuries when a blast took place due to leakage of gas at a house in Loti area. The hospital sources said that condition of two injured women was serious.
Man shot dead at doorstep
A 30-year-old man was shot dead by unidentified motorcyclists at his doorstep in the Sabzazar police limits on Wednesday. Police investigators are yet to ascertain the motives behind the murder. A police official claimed that the possibility of murder during armed robbery could not be ruled out.
Muhammad Saleem was standing outside his house in Saidpura area when two gunmen riding on a motorcycle shot appeared there and opened straight fire on him. The man died on the spot while the killers fled away. The police have removed the body to the morgue for autopsy and are investigating with no arrest made yet.
