FAISALABAD - State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali has said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is leader of the people of Pakistan and he (Abid Sher) alone accepts Tahirul Qadri’s challenge for holding public debate.
“Mian Nawaz Sharif is leader of people of Pakistan. I alone accept the challenge from Tahirul Qadri for holding public debate. He can come to contest elections against me anywhere in Pakistan or hold public debate”, he said this in his exclusive talk with this news agency here Saturday.
He went on to say that dreams of Imran Khan and Sheikh Rashid would never come true. He alleged that secret hands were at play and the string of events taking place since the past four months could be traced back to these covert hands.
He held that the nation was well-aware of the nefarious designs of elements hatching conspiracies. The foreign agenda will never be allowed to succeed.
Negative politics will be encountered valiantly, he said, adding Tahirul Qadri revolution was nothing more than “staging a drama.”
He said that no Tsunami March would be held on August 14 and the nation would only celebrate Jashn-e-Azadi. The economy and democracy will surely gain strength with the completion of its tenure by the government, he observed.
The prospects of success of operation Zarb-e-Azb are becoming visible with the prayers of the nation, he said, adding that IDPs were national guests and no effort would spare for their rehabilitation.
Abid Sher asserted that people of Pakistan were with the armed forces and the country, under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif, was moving ahead on the path to prosperity. “Soon the benefits of change will start tricklingdown to the common man, he added.
The state minister reiterated that concerted efforts were underway to overcome energy crisis and the nation would soon get good news in this regard.
